I feel certain that what we have learned this week will save our lives and our marriage!  The lessons learned about myself, my wonderful new wife (after ten years!)  and our walk through life and with God is well worth the price of admission!  Go and see the Beards!.. Please Go!… It will do you well and bless your marriage!

 

Jim and Acton are absolutely wonderful.  They are laid back enough that it actually felt like a special vacation, but they worked into it the most meaningful sessions.  Those talks, I truly believe will change our lives. If you could be with a couple for four days, this is the couple to choose!  They are a precious example of how marriage should be.  It is evident that they cherish each other, are “tuned in” to God and only want to touch each couple’s marriage to make it the best possible relationship!  Any couple struggling like we were would be so blessed by coming on this retreat!  The hardest part is just getting the courage to come.

 

We miss you and are thankful for your influence in our lives.  Your work is truly anointed… you are really making a difference.

 

Suffice it to say that I am just rocked hard by our time together.  It was really life transforming. John and I had many good conversations (and a lot of tears from me) on the flights home.  But he just seemed like a different human being to me – decisive, strong, very different.  It was nothing short of a miracle. I feel like I really met Jesus in my time with you, and that was profound. I met John again.  And it was also amazing to have the time with you two and meet you! 

Anyway, we were definitely on holy ground with you, and it changed our lives.  You guys are really doing God’s work and are anointed for it; thank you for all you did for us, individually and in our marriage. That sounds so incomplete to say, but it was/is truly profound.

 

We are both trying much harder to communicate and to take care of each other better. Things have never been better. We can't thank you enough!

 

I want to tell you how much I appreciate everything you did for us on our visit. We had a great time and even more importantly, we look forward to applying/continuing to apply the tools you taught the two of us.

 

I think this retreat will change our marriage significantly.  Given our unhealthy communication styles before the retreat, I would not have been excited about a second “honeymoon”.  Now I think we can spend quality time together and will actually grow towards each other again...

 

I was absolutely stunned to learn things about my wife that I had missed!  Her personality, her love languages, I had perceived it all wrong!  What a relief!
